Welcome Alan School of Motoring is one of Bristol’s long established driving schools.
Meet Alan I started to teach driving in 1971. A few months later decided to work for myself and founded my own driving school in Bristol. I have worked as a professional driving instructor ever since.
Driving lessons Driving tuition for new drivers who want to prepare for the driving test or learner drivers who have already taken lessons or a driving test,
Show me tell me. The first part of the driving test
Pass Plus course Pass Plus is a course of 6 hours tuition taken after you have passed the Driving Test. It covers town driving, all weather driving, out of town and rural roads, night driving, driving on dual carriageways, and on motorways. You can take a Pass Plus course with me even if you have been taught by another instructor.
Motorway tuition Motorway training. Joining the motorway, changing lanes, overtaking, safe separation distance, looking into the distance, being aware of traffic behind and effective use of mirrors. Use of signals, high sided vehicles, effects of cross winds, fatigue, taking breaks, emergencies, breakdowns, the hard shoulder, emergency telephone.
Refresher lessons Perhaps you passed the driving test some time ago and did not drive regularly. A few hours of modern instruction with a patient instructor should improve your driving skills and confidence.
